Let's Give Back
Yarn Hollow Charity Projects
Calling all knitters and crocheters! We are looking to give back to our surrounding communities with your help. Throughout the year, we will highlight different charity projects and collect your completed items that will benefit our local hospitals, organizations, and families.
Please drop off your donation to Yarn Hollow during normal business hours.
Little Hats Big Hearts
This charity started right here in Chicago and now reaches to 40 states! They are looking for red hats to help raise awareness of congenital heart defects. All of the hats we send in will be distributed to 40 Chicago area hospitals to honor the babies and parents dealing with congenital heart defects.
Specifications: Yarn must be red, cotton or acrylic, medium to heavy weight, machine washable and dryable. Simple hat patterns, only, please. Extraneous bows and buttons can come off and pose a safety hazard for little ones.

Donations are being accepted now until November 30, 2019.
Operation Christmas Child
Feel free to bring in your last bits of yarn balls that you have left over from your projects. We are collecting scrap balls throughout the year to donate to Operation Christmas Child. They will be added to craft kits for kids.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Our mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
